Who Are We?
“Every church has a story and a heartbeat.”
This is ours.
We believe life is better with Jesus, and no one was meant to walk through it alone. That's the heart behind everything you'll read below. Our mission, vision, values, and rhythm reflect the kind of church we're becoming.

Bringing Jesus to People.
Jesus came to bring hope to the hurting, forgiveness to sinners, and new life to the world. Before He returned to heaven, He invited His followers to continue that mission by bringing His love and good news to others.
At Oikos Church, we believe every follower of Jesus is sent. Whether at home, at work, at school, or in our neighborhood, we seek to live as His hands and feet—loving our neighbors, serving our community, and helping people discover the life found in Him.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."— Matthew 28:19–20

Life Together:
With God. With Each Other. With Our Neighbor.
From the very beginning, God designed us for relationship—with Him and with one another. Through Jesus, He invites us into a new way of life marked by faith, belonging, and purpose.
At Oikos Church, we believe church is more than a Sunday gathering. It's a family learning to follow Jesus together every day. We want to be a place where people find hope, healing, genuine community, and a place to belong.
That's what we mean by Life Together.
With God.
Everything begins with Jesus. We grow in faith through God's Word, prayer, worship, and the Sacraments. With Each Other.
We weren't created to follow Jesus alone. We are committed to being a welcoming family that encourages, serves, and walks through life together. With Our Neighbor.
The love of Jesus doesn't stop with us. We are sent to love our neighbors, serve our community, and invite others into the hope and new life found in Christ."They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer... Every day they continued to meet together... They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God." — Acts 2:42, 44–47

A Gathering and Going Church
Take a moment. Breathe in; Breathe out.
Do it again. Breathe in; Breathe out.
Now, what would happen if you held your breath and never breathed back out… You would pass out and die right?
What about if you breathed out but never breathed back in? Same thing! You’d pass out and die.
The church is the same way. If Christians just hunker down within our own walls and never leave, or Christians are completely isolated and never see each other… the church would die! Or at least be unhealthy…
When Jesus appeared to his disciples on the day He resurrected from the dead, He breathed the Holy Spirit into them, and said, “Go and carry my grace into the world.”
The Church is like a set of lungs that breathes life into the world. It breathes in. It breathes out.
We GATHER and we GO!
We GATHER together for worship, bible study, meals, prayer, comfort, care, celebration, and in everyday life.
We GO and bring Jesus and the good news of the gospel to the people around us in our community.
The church breathes in. The church breathes out. And with every breath, God helps His family take a deeper breath by breathing His life into more people through His people.
Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven…” - John 20:21-23
