Who Are We?

Bringing Jesus to People.

Jesus came to bring hope to the hurting, forgiveness to sinners, and new life to the world. Before returning to heaven, He sent His followers to continue that mission by sharing His love and good news with others.

At Oikos Church, we believe every follower of Jesus is sent. Wherever God has placed us—at home, at work, at school, or in our neighborhoods—we seek to bring Jesus to people in our everyday lives.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." — Matthew 28:19–20

We believe life is better with Jesus, and no one was meant to walk through it alone. That's why our vision is simple:

Everything begins with a relationship with Jesus. As we grow to know Him, He gives us hope, purpose, and new life.

With Each Other.
Life is better together. We are committed to being a welcoming family where people are known, encouraged, and supported through every season of life.

With Our Neighbor.
The love we've received from Jesus is meant to be shared. We seek to love our neighbors, serve our community, and invite others into the hope and belonging we've found in Him.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship... They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts." — Acts 2:42, 46

A Gathering and Going Church

Healthy rhythms bring life. Just as our lungs breathe in and breathe out, we believe the Church has a rhythm too.

We gather to worship, pray, study God's Word, share meals, encourage one another, and grow together as God's family. Then we go—bringing the hope of Jesus into our homes, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods through everyday acts of love and faithful witness.

The Church breathes in. The Church breathes out. As we gather and as we go, God breathes His life into us so that His life can flow through us to the world around us.

"Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that He breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit..." — John 20:21–22

Our values shape the kind of church we're becoming. They aren't just ideas we believe—they're the habits and convictions that guide how we follow Jesus, care for one another, and serve our community.

Everything begins and ends with the death and resurrection of Jesus.

We believe the gospel isn't just the beginning of the Christian life—it's the center of everything we believe, do, and become.

We Grow Together.

We are committed to helping one another follow Jesus, grow in His Word, and become more like Him every day.

"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." — 2 Peter 3:18

We Pray First.

We depend on God in every season and seek His guidance, power, and presence through prayer.

"Pray without ceasing." — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

We Live Sent.

We believe every follower of Jesus is sent to share His love and good news in everyday life.

We Do Life Together.

We pursue authentic relationships marked by honesty, encouragement, compassion, and love.

We open our lives, our homes, and our church so that every person can experience the grace, love, and belonging of Christ.
