Our Discipleship Pathway
“Everyone Is on a Journey. Everyone Has a Next Step.”
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. Just like a highway, everyone is traveling at a different speed and in a different lane—but no matter where you are, there is always a next step.
At Oikos, our desire is to help every person move closer to Jesus until they are not only following Him, but helping others discover and follow Him too.
Our discipleship pathway is built around five movements:

Exploring relationships and discovering Jesus.
This is where the journey begins. Through friendships, conversations, and invitations, people begin hearing about who Jesus is and discovering that they are loved by God.

Asking questions and exploring faith.
Curious disciples engage with Christianity by attending worship, joining Life Groups, asking honest questions, and learning more about Jesus and His teachings.

Trusting Jesus and beginning a new life with Him.
A believing disciple places their faith in Jesus, receives God's gift of salvation, and gets baptized.

Growing deeper and becoming part of the family.
Committing disciples take ownership of their faith by joining the Oikos family, participating in our New Member Process and Missionary Pathway, serving others, giving generously, and building relationships through Life Groups.

Helping others navigate the journey with Jesus.
The goal of discipleship is not just to follow Jesus ourselves—it is to help others follow Him too. Carpooling disciples become everyday missionaries who walk alongside others, encourage them in faith, and help them take their next steps.
